FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the free Water Snapshot?
The Water Snapshot is a one-page summary of the water assets and rights recorded for your property — licences, dams, bores, your Water Management Plan area, and annual rainfall zone. It takes about 60 seconds to generate and costs nothing. It's designed to show you what we know before you decide whether a full investigation is worth it.
What's the difference between the Snapshot and the full Water Resource Assessment?
The Snapshot shows what's already recorded — it's a data summary. The full Water Resource Assessment ($1,450 + GST) is an expert investigation: it analyses seasonal reliability, estimates how much runoff you could capture, assesses groundwater potential, and recommends a strategy for water security. Think of the snapshot as the question; the report is the answer.
Is the snapshot really free? What's the catch?
Yes, genuinely free. We'll email you the snapshot as a PDF and give you a link to view it online. We'll also follow up once to ask if you'd like the full report — but there's no obligation, no hard sell.
What area do you cover?
We currently cover rural and regional properties across Tasmania. We are actively expanding to additional states — email us at hello@hydrointelligence.com.au to register your interest and we will be in touch when your area is available.
How long does the assessment take?
Most assessments are completed within 10 business days from order confirmation. Complex properties with multiple water sources or unusual licensing conditions may take slightly longer, and we will let you know upfront.
Do you visit the property?
Our assessments are desktop-based, using government databases, satellite imagery, and spatial analysis. This allows us to deliver fast, affordable reports without requiring property access. For properties requiring physical inspection, we can recommend local hydrogeologists.
What if the property has no registered bores?
That's still valuable information. We analyse groundwater potential based on aquifer mapping, nearby bore data, and geological conditions. Many properties have untapped groundwater resources that haven't been explored.
Can I use the report for a bank valuation or legal dispute?
Our reports provide independent, evidence-based analysis that can support valuations and due diligence. While we don't provide formal legal opinions, the data and findings are sourced from official government records and presented in a format suitable for professional use.
What's your refund policy?
We offer a full money-back guarantee on the Water Resource Assessment. If we are unable to complete a meaningful assessment for your property (for example, due to insufficient available data), you'll receive a complete refund.
